ExpoBici enabled us to reach all of our objectives regarding the Italian market, it is definitely the perfect appointment for us. In three days we had excellent contact with Italian dealers. We have been working for over two years on penetrating the Italian market and this event enabled us to make progress on our business project. Our key event will undoubtedly remain Padua even for 2010.
I am pleased to see at ExpoBici, already at the second edition, exhibitors representing the international market. At this point it would be desirable to take the fair one step further by proposing something that is still missing today in Italy like the demo days proposed both to the consumer and the dealer: ExpoBici has already taken important steps in this direction by proposing the bike tests which worked beyond our expectations. This is truly an ideal appointment for a dealer who wants to start selling a new brand: the Padua location is ideal from this point of view, it responds perfectly to the needs of the market, and is a core area of quality consumption. Despite the fact that this fair is relatively young, it would already be possible to think of the hypothesis of a day reserved exclusively to professional operators.
Surely the turnout of the public went far beyond our rosiest expectations. The quality of the visits and the number of resellers who visited us, from Southern Italy as from Northeastern Italy, was excellent. We were impressed even with the quality and quantity of the consumers: true cycling buffs, informed, competent and well-versed on the products. We underestimated the incredible impact of the demo area, we could have made even better use of it, but an outside event of the Eurobike demo day type could already be planned both for the consumer and the dealer. It is an important opportunity. In any case, it is quite evident that ExpoBici is a fair geared towards the future: besides the incredible number of young people that have visited it, the mentality of the organizers themselves is addressed towards a long-term strategy. Furthermore, it is right for the national cycling fair to be in the Veneto region, which is truly the birthplace of the bicycle.
We are very satisfied with our first experience of participation in ExpoBici, our agents weren’t even able to catch their breath the first day of the fair due to the incredible number of people, and this put us in great difficulty in the management of the bike tests. We did an excellent job in terms of quality and quantity of contacts, decidedly better than we expected. It had been a long time since I’d been back to Padua and I was pleased to find a completely updated city: the usability of the fair grounds is excellent, and the city and its car parks are very accessible. It is in the sector’s interest to have only one Italian fair appointment for 2010, but if this is not the case, we will nonetheless be in Padua.
That the 2009 edition of ExpoBici would have been successful I was certain, but I didn’t expect such a great attendance. This event has the potential to grow even more in the upcoming editions.
I am very happy about how the second edition of ExpoBici 2009 went. I touched base with a great number of our clients, who exclaimed their surprise at how great the event was, which enjoyed significant attendance from the cycling areas that count: the Veneto, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli and Trentino-Alto-Adige regions.
The outcome was definitely excellent, it is a pity that the fair was doubled due to the change in date of Eicma from November. From our point of view, we are fully satisfied both for the attendance and quality of the public and clients. We hope that ExpoBici continues to grow, just as it has grown this year, for us it is an ideal fair at an ideal time of year. For the sector companies, ExpoBici was surely the ideal showcase for presenting new 2010 products.
We had many contacts with the press and operators on Monday and numerous clients over the three fair days. We even noted an excellent attendance from Southern Italy.
I am truly enthusiastic about my participation in ExpoBici 2009: despite the small size of my business, I really clicked with the organizers of the fair. I couldn’t have asked for more.
It was a wonderful experience beyond my every expectation; tons of our clients came; it is a very welcoming and accessible fair, without a doubt an experience to be repeated.
I’m sorry for those who weren’t there, because they missed a great opportunity and a great fair.
We were already pleased in 2008, this year we are even more so, especially because all of our clients attested to the fact that Padua was the right choice.
My best fair in the past ten years.
It is surely the fair most in step with Eurobike; Expobici is the best Italian fair I’ve ever participated in, the most dynamic.
Expobici is a fair in the Eurobike style because it is accessible to everyone, both clients and visitors. It has great potential to win and become our fair reference point in Italy.
ExpoBici turned out to be an important appointment for the Italian market. The positive trend of growth already experienced in the first edition of September, 2008 was confirmed and further improved upon.
A young, dynamic staff, very attentive to the needs of the market, they transformed the fair into a true success. Without a doubt for 2010 there will be exponential growth in the number of exhibitors and sector operators.
